The European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is a legislative measure adopted by the EU in 2023 to prevent deforestation and forest degradation driven by the EU’s consumption and trade. The EUDR requires companies placing certain commodities on the EU market—or exporting them from it—to ensure those products are not associated with deforestation or forest degradation after December 31, 2020.
