The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) are a global standard for preventing and addressing the risk of adverse human rights impacts linked to business activity. Endorsed by the UN Human Rights Council in 2011, the UNGPs were developed by the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative on Business and Human Rights.
