Project PI, Professorship for German, European and International Private and Corporate Law, Comparative Law

In civil law, Alexander Schall's work centers on the general law of obligations, legal restitution, and property law. His research is grounded in a traditional doctrinal approach, enriched by comparative legal analysis. He completed his habilitation in 2009 with a thesis on creditor protection in corporate law.

At Leuphana University, he has also played a key role in developing a two-year master’s program in law and a one-year English-language master’s program in German law at the Professional School.
